A Few Reasons We Loved "Tia & Tamera Take 2"
Our favorite identical twins, Tia and Tamera, have returned to the small screen with their new reality series, “Tia and Tamera Take 2”. Per usual, I had to tune in simply because I am absolutely obsessed with reality shows and even more obsessed with Tia and Tamera! The show premiered on the “Style” network and showcased Tia’s difficult pregnancy, sibling rivalry and followed Tamera as she planned her wedding.
Tia and Tamera’s show definitely seems like it will be a success! They’ve managed to keep their fan base strong from their days on “Sister Sister” till now. Everybody seems to LOVE them both, which gives us all the more reasons to love last night’s episode!
1. The family drama: it’s obvious that Tia and Tamera adore each other, after all, they are sisters! On this episode, the twins had a little altercation as Tamera was in the process of planning her wedding and found that Tia couldn’t be there like she should because of her pregnancy and her commitments to the television show, “The Game”. To Tia’s surprise, Tamera chooses her best-friend to be her maid-of-honor in the wedding instead of Tia which really upsets her. It’s good to see the realness of their relationship!
2. The realness of the show: not only are cameras following Tamera’s wedding, they are also following Tia as she struggles to balance married life, her pregnancy and her career on “The Game”. On this episode, cameras followed Tia as she did a photo shoot with Hosea Chanchez from “The Game” and also showcased her surprise when she found out that she only had a few weeks to get back in shape after she had her baby to prepare for the next season of “The Game”!
3. Tamera’s reaction to the racial blog posts and her engagement pictures being leaked: she definitely kept it positive! Despite the backlash she received on the internet from people going off about her decision to marry a white man, she kept her cool and stood true to herself.
