Allen Iverson Goes On Shopping Spree, Leaves Estranged Wife Broke
Allen Iverson is a deadbeat dad and his soon to be ex-wife wants you to know it. Tawanna Iverson, says he emptied their joint account with a huge spending spree after she filed for divorce, leaving her totally broke.
According to TMZ, Tawanna Iverson filed new papers in their rocky divorce battle, charging that Allen stopped putting money in their joint bank account when she filed for divorce in June, and then made several large cash withdrawals—including one for $20,000, which she says he spent on diamond jewelry.
She claims the account was $23,000 in the red at the time she submitted the papers, and that she’s been unable to provide for their five children as a result. Tawanna, who says she gave up her career to be a stay-at-home mother, claims her husband has amassed over $20 million in wealth, but won’t help her out of spite.
I was a huge fan of Iverson’s back in the day, but I have no respect for a man who doesn’t take care of home!
