Style Squad: 2025 BET Awards

The 2025 BET Awards were filled with some of the biggest names in Hollywood on culture’s biggest night. Between the awards, performances, tributes, and what the celebs were wearing on the red carpet, this year’s event was a memorable experience.

In an iOne Digital exclusive, radio host Lore’l caught up with some of your faves to chat about their favorite songs from the event’s honorees—Mariah Carey, Kirk Franklin, Snoop Dogg, and Jamie Foxx—their favorite BET moments, and more.

Ty Dolla $ign kicked things off and came through sharing his favorite Snoop Dogg song, which happened to be the classic “Gin & Juice,” dressed in an all-black look that repped urban sophistication perfectly.

2025 BET Awards

R&B singer Jacquees told Lore’l that the 2025 BET Awards were a special one for him, not only because he was nominated, but also because of who he brought with him. 

“I think tonight feel good cause I’m nominated twice, you know what I’m saying. I get to bring my mama out here,” he said. He also said that he was happy to see that all of his hard work had paid off with multiple nominations.

Actor RonReaco Lee recalled his first moment on BET and when he realized that he made it in the industry. “I think for me it was the first time I did 106th & Park with Terrence and Rocsi. There was that moment as an actor when you feel like, ‘okay, I done low-key arrived.’ And to be on that set with those amazing hosts,” he said.

Speaking of Terrence J, the former BET host-turned-actor was also in attendance to celebrate the milestone event and reflected on the network’s legacy.

“Can you believe, 25 years since 106th & Park, 45 years of BET, and 25 years of the BET Awards? It’s just such a blessing,” he shared.

Lore’l also chatted with several other stars, such as former WNBA star and current Basketball Wives cast member Ty Young, Muni Long, B. Simone, BMF star, Russell Hornsby, Real Housewives of Atlanta star Drew Sidora, LeToya Luckett, and the adorable Heiress Harris.
