Mika Simpson started My Little Rosebud as a way for her to bring flowers and gift-giving to her community. What began with fresh local bouquets has bloomed into a beloved company that continues to grow. In 2025, Simpson launched The Forever Collection of My Little Rosebud featuring stunning preserved roses.
Preserved roses have become a popular gift that screams luxury and a go-to for lovers during holidays like Valentine’s Day. The everlasting floral arrangements, presented in luxe packaging are showpieces that last well after you receive them.
“Starting My Little Rosebud was a natural progression for me,” said CEO Mika Simpson. “I started making floral arrangements as a hobby — but once I experienced how much happiness my creations brought to others, it was all I wanted to do. There’s something so fulfilling about seeing the joy a beautiful arrangement can bring, whether it’s for a birthday, an anniversary, or a simple “thinking of you” gesture.”
As a Black woman in the luxury floral industry, Simpson revealed she has “faced the challenge of breaking into a traditionally less diverse field. I’ve encountered the need to constantly prove my expertise and professionalism, and at times, I’ve felt like I have to work twice as hard to build trust and credibility. But regardless of any challenge I may face, I’m here and I’m thriving.”

“Valentine’s Day is the ultimate day for roses because they symbolize love and romance,” she explained. “Not only are they beautiful to look at, but they’re the perfect way to express affection.”
My Little Rose Bud has a wide range of offerings in various price ranges. “Our prices depend on the customer’s budgets and desires. Smaller bouquets can start at around $60, while something much grander can go to $500. Of course, these prices adjust during the holiday season.”
