Welp, another reality couple bites the dust. Love Is Blind Season 7 star Ashley Adionser officially called it quits with her husband, Tyler Francis on January 21. But, given the drama witnessed on (and off) the show, fans are collectively shrugging and sipping their tea.
The separation follows months of speculation about the couple’s relationship. Many fans are convinced they “saw this coming.”
Ashley Adionser & Tyler Francis find love on ‘Love is Blind’ Season 7
Ashley and Tyler were fan favorites when the LIB season dropped in October 2024. The two built a strong chemistry in the pods and were vibing hard. But when Tyler dropped a bombshell about his past, things changed.
It turns out Tyler was a sperm donor with a friend. He fathered three biological kids. Naturally, Ashley was surprised by the news – who wouldn’t be? But Tyler explained that he had no relationship with the children and did not even know what they looked like.
After some time, Ashley accepted Tyler’s explanation. The couple got engaged and married anyway. That’s when things got interesting.
Photos of Tyler with his children during the holidays went viral, raising questions about the extent of his involvement in their lives. Around the same time, stories began circulating on social media about Tyler’s history, including allegations of unpaid child support and claims that his connection to his children—and possibly their mother—was more significant than he initially disclosed.
When the Season 7 finale rolled around, Netflix gave the couple a chance to address the drama. Tyler claimed he was trying to protect his family’s privacy, while Ashley clapped back at fans who thought she was clueless. “For people to imply that ‘she was blindsided,’ ‘she didn’t know,‘ is insulting to my intelligence,“ she said.
Ashley said there was no “disconnect“ between her and Tyler. She explained, “There were things he was comfortable sharing and things he wasn’t.”
The melanin beauty wasn’t here for the “poor, naive girl“ narrative.
Ashley Adionser announces split from Tyler Francis, calls the decision ‘necessary.’
Now, however, Ashley has officially closed the door on her whirlwind relationship. In a statement to PEOPLE, she announced their split, saying:
“After much reflection, I want to share that Tyler and I have been separated for several weeks and have now made the difficult decision to end our marriage. While I had hoped for mutual understanding and transparency in our relationship, it has become clear that our paths are no longer aligned, making it impossible for me to continue in this marriage.”
Ashley also emphasized that this decision wasn’t easy but necessary.
While we’ll never know all the details, everyone deserves love, peace, and someone who can match their energy. Wishing Ashley, the best as she moves into her next chapter.
