Supermodel Adut Akech Is Pregnant And Glowing – We Love That For Her

Adut Akech has always had a unique glow. As one of the world’s top supermodels – who helped change the industry and champion opportunities for Black women through her gorgeous dark melanin skin – she’s worn nearly all the top designers we love, slayed various styles, fits, and aesthetics, and werked the cameras.
But now, the 24-year-old is glowing for another reason: she’s pregnant with her first child. Akech, who is expecting with her partner Samuel Elkhier, shared her baby news with the world this week.

“Beyond BLESSED and CANNOT wait to meet our bundle of joy,” she joyfully announced on Instagram on July 31. Accompanying the caption is a carousel of stunning images, each one a celebration of Akech’s new arrival.
Akech proudly displays her baby bump in each photo, exuding her radiant glow while posing in various relaxed-fit designer styles. Akech – and her growing bump – slay in Acne and Christopher Esber.
“Head over to @voguemagazine to read my real and raw journey so far 🥹,” the mommy-to-be added.
Adut is happy to be a young mom and looks forward to growing her family.
In a candid conversation with the legacy publication, Akech openly discusses the impact of pregnancy on her life. She humorously admits to being ‘over it,’ despite still having about ten weeks left before meeting her bundle of joy.
“I lived in the same three pairs of sweatpants,“ the fashion slayer explains to Vogue. “One was Alo. One was Lululemon. The other one might’ve been Victoria’s Secret.”
During the interview, the cover girl expressed her happiness in being a young parent. “I always said I wanted to be a young mom because I love the idea of growing up with your kids.”
Akech continued to say that she already has plans for more children. According to Vogue, she wants four or five.
