How seriously do you take your BBQ? Seriously enough to pull a knife on a sibling if he or she eats your food?

In this serious but still laughable report by WFAA, a woman in Austin, Texas reportedly threatened to kill her brother after he ate her BBQ ribs. The incident took place this past Tuesday when court documents reported by KTBC-TV claim that Ethel Jean Banks, 61, became violent upon realizing what her brother had done.
Banks allegedly charged at her brother with a 10-inch butcher knife and said she would kill him. Banks’ reportedly brother ran from the house and called 911. The police report that the two offered contradictory reports of the incident, while Banks allegedly changed the story several times. Banks’ brother also claims that he did not know the ribs belonged to his sister.
Reportedly, this is not the first incident of this kind between the brother and sister – a similar incident took place in June. The Austin Police put Banks’ in time out and she has been arrested on Aggravated Assault charges.
Don’t mess with a Texan woman’s BBQ. But seriously, potential prison time because of BBQ? That BBQ better have been the best in the world.
