Yaya DaCosta Performs “I Will Always Love You”
We’re all eagerly anticipating the premiere of the Angela Bassett directed biopic, “Whitney,” airing on Lifetime January 17 at 8 pm, and this clip just added to our high hopes. We’ve even dedicated a special tribute wall where fans can remember their favorite memory of the late singer, here.
Yaya Decosta stars as Whitney in the TV film that is sure to generate much chatter around Whitney and Bobby’s tumultuous marriage. Despite the Houston’s family protest of the flick, Debra Cox provides the vocals where Lifetime was unable to secure rights and the “Nobody Supposed To Be Here,” singer blows it out of the water.
Check out the exclusive clip of Yaya channeling Whitney though Debra, here.
