Michelle Obama is so concerned about our health. It’s very endearing. Muva Obama’s current obsession? Water. What about it, you ask? The First Lady wants us drinking more of it. With her first campaign, Let’s Move, FLOTUS got us off our bums and then she told us she was putting out a Hip-Hop album to keep us moving. Now, she wants to monitor what we’re drinking.
FLOTUS urges, “Drink just one more glass of water a day and you can make a real difference for your health, your energy and the way you feel. So ‘drink up’ and see for yourself.” Evidently, the campaign is causing quite the stir. Many critics are saying that drinking water isn’t as important or affective as society tells us it is.
It’s being reported that, “There’s no conclusive scientific evidence that points to the ideal amount of water that people should be consuming, and researchers have largely concluded that the conventional wisdom about needing “eight glasses a day” isn’t actually true. Drinking more water doesn’t actually give you more energy, and it’s only very tenuously linked to weight loss.”
So wait, let me get this straight–Michelle Obama just wants us to be a bit healthier by drinking more water and we’re kicking and screaming over something so simple already? What gives?
