Jennifer Hudson played a convincing 60s soul singer in “Dreamgirls,” but does the “American Idol” have the vigor and talent it would take any thespian, to pull off a role like Winne Mandela? After a series of delays, we will finally know the answer on Septemeber 6th, when the biopic chronicling Winnie Mandela’s journey to keep her husband’s message alive while he is imprisoned.
The official film trailer was released today, days after the trailer to Mandela’s biopic, starring Idris Elba, was debuted. Watch Hudson shine in the Winnie trailer and determine, yourself, if it bright enough.
