“Martin” is easily one of the biggest and most hilarious sitcoms of the 90s. Martin, Gina, Pam, Tommy and Cole brought a different vibe to “urban entertainment” and with the addition of characters like Jerome, Bruh Man, Otis and Ms. Payne, we all laughed until we cried.
Whether you were old enough to enjoy “Martin” while it was still on the air or are young enough to still catch the reruns, one thing we can all agree on is that one of the most memorable characters has to be the original hoodrat herself, Sheneneh Jenkins. Whether she was roasting Gina and Pam, hanging out with her girl Key-Lolo or doing hair and nails at her Sho ‘Nuff Hair Salon, Sheneneh always brought the drama, the fashion, the hood and most importantly, the laughs.

“Sheneneh Forever”
When Sheneneh won a dinner date with Kid (of Kid N’ Play) on Martin’s radio show, you already knew it would be a mess! Martin was super embarrassed to let his friend, Kid, go on a real date with Sheneneh so he asked Gina to help give Sheneneh lessons on how to be a lady. Believe it or not, Sheneneh was quite the confident woman and she wasn’t up for changing her personality to reel Kid in, no matter how fine she thought he was! She knew that if Kid didn’t like her for who she was then he wasn’t the one for her! “Because, Sheneneh is a ‘round the way fillet, aight?!”
“Baby You Can Drive My Car”
When Gina and Pam won a new car, they decided to split it with Martin, Tommy and Cole. Martin suggested that the crew each used the car on specific days, that way they each got a chance to drive at least once a week. When it was Tommy’s turn, he decided to take Sheneneh and her friends, Key-lolo and Bonquisha, to the club – before 10 p.m. of course because that’s when ladies were free. In typical Sheneneh fashion, everything that could possibly go wrong went wrong, especially when Tommy accidentally called Key-lolo, Kahula which set Sheneneh off!
“Martin Control”
Gina accidentally lost Martin’s basketball tickets but found out that Sheneneh had an extra pair! She asked Sheneneh for the tickets but Sheneneh would only budge if Gina agreed to work in her Sho ‘Nuff hair salon. Gina agreed just to get the tickets back, but Sheneneh refused to let Gina work in her hair salon looking like Annie! Gina had to look more professional and by professional we mean looking just like Sheneneh! After Gina got the ultimate Sheneneh hair makeover (complete with a baby hair bang and all), Gina was ready for her first day of work. Of course, Sheneneh’s hair salon was a complete zoo and things took a turn for the worse when Gina attempted to go to work on Myra’s feet and hair! Hot mess!
“Laquita, don’t be bringing me no picture of Whitney Houston because you’re not Whitney Houston, you’re not even Bobby Brown, okay!?”
Sheneneh and Pam were always at each other’s throats so when Martin threw a fight party and Sheneneh found out she wasn’t invited, she was furious and took it out on Pam!
“I like to party, Sheneneh likes to party!”
“Gina Needed To Borrow Bail Money From Sheneneh”
When Martin got sent to jail, the crew needed to come up with $1000 to bail him out. Collectively they didn’t have enough money, so they had to resort to their last hope, Sheneneh. When Sheneneh found out Martin was in jail, her reaction was priceless! Watch here:
