On Thursday, July 25, 2013, journalist and global humanitarian, Soledad O’Brien and husband, Brad Raymond will host their Third Annual Benefit Dinner for the Soledad O’Brien + Brad Raymond Foundation. Highlighting the best of New Orleans’ food, music and culture with the vibrancy of New York City as a backdrop, this year’s event “New Orleans To New York City” will serve as fundraiser for the foundation’s goal to assist young women with successfully attaining and excelling in higher education.
This foundation has raised funds for the young women it supports with financial resources, mentoring support and other resources to aid in their ultimate success. The annual gala is a tribute to the foundation’s beginnings in New Orleans where they initially launched their support of students living in the aftermath of hurricane Katrina.
