Justin Timberlake is like the gift that keeps on giving. His new album The 20/20 Experience just hit stores today, but he recently announced that fans can expect more music in the near future!
According to MTV News, the blue-eyed soul singer will release a Vol. 2 to his third solo album with 10 additional songs this Novemeber.
“Let me clear a rumor up,” Timberlake said in an interview with radio host Ryan Seacrest. “The news that this is only the first half of the album, that’s true. That’s all I’m going to say!”
According to reports, The 20/20 Experience surpassed the current digital pre-order record of 136,000 by “a few thousand units.” And the record’s lead single “Suit & Tie,” which is currently number one on the R&B charts, broke Billboard’s record with the “highest first-week plays total in the 20-year history of the pop songs chart.”
It took six years for JT to released new material and he said he spent the time perfecting the album’s overall vision. “As we were going through the recording process, I felt like there was a lot of the sounds that seemed very visual, if that sort of makes sense,” he said. “So I came up with this whole idea about music that you can see, and that’s what really gave me the idea for the album title, The 20/20 Experience, which obviously is a play on vision.”
The new project is expected to sell at least 500,00 copies in it’s first week.
