Luke James’ name may ring a bell to you if you’ve ever heard of this shy, Texas-born diva named Beyonce Knowles. King Bey is the force behind Luke James’ stardom (well her and her political counterpart, Michelle Obama). Bey tapped the Grammy-nominated crooner to be the opening act for her comeback Revel shows last year and since Luke warmed up that stage for Beyonce, he’s found the heat to fuel his own scorching career.

The New Orleans native has since released his debut album, “Made To Love” and in just hearing a few of his steamy runs in his magical falsetto, it’s obvious this man is just that–a lover. His high-pitched notes rival greats like Ronald Isley, Marvin Gaye and even the fictional Choir Boy of “The Five Heartbeats,” but Luke stands on his own two feet as a singer.

His latest mixtape, “Whispers In the Dark” truly made me a fan. It’s clear why James would make love to his own music; I mean, I do. TMI? Well, so is the fact that during our chat, Luke’s mind was on a sexy text (a “sext” if you will) from a young lady who was ready to get it in. Life imitating art or vice versa? Either way, Luke’s sensual vibe is honest and a breath of fresh air in the R&B lane. Check out our arousing chat below:

**** The one thing that I don’t like about myself…I’m a little shy, so I’m trying to get over that. I don’t fear anything, I’m just shy.

*****What was your last moment of lust…today. [laughs] It ended with a text message. Now, I’m in New York, waiting to be done with this so that I can get some. [laughs]
