Fresh from the hoosegow, a virile young ex-con returns home with newfound sexual habits that threaten his relationships and the health of the women he loves.

What happens when your husband/boyfriend is incarcerated for an extended period of time? Does he become “priestly”? Or does he adapt to his surroundings? Filmmaker, Rod Gailes OBC, addresses these questions and more in a provocative, jaw-dropping 12-minute short.

Recently, the CDC announced that African-American women made up the fastest, and highest infectious rates of HIV transmission. There are so many women out there who are reluctant to get tested, and who continue to sleep with men who also will not get tested. After viewing this film, hopefully more women will be proactive in knowing their status and the men they sleep with.

Earl’s Post-Prison Playdate was written, directed, and produced by award-winning NYC filmmaker, Rod Gailes OBC. Richard S. Carroll Jr., Pernell Walker from the Sundance-Hit, Pariah, and Iris Wilson of Broadway’s FELA star in the short.

Earl’s Post-Prison Playdate was created as a part of an HIV Awareness campaign, executive produced by OBC for the “League of Awareness,” a NY-based underground film collective.
