Kelly Rowland Thanks Tina Knowles In Acceptance Speech

Sounds like a fanfare of praise has been following Tina Knowles the last couple of days.

Just hours after Beyoncé gushed over her mother during her CFDA acceptance speech, Kelly Rowland dedicated her award to the fashion forward mama.

During a Women of Excellence Luncheon for her charity efforts, Kelly paid tribute to her late mother, Doris, and Tina, The Source reports.

Kelly reflected on her late mother, explaining, “She would always tell me, ‘Cross your legs, always look at people, be ladylike’ – I just feel she is here.”

She continued her speech, bringing up her second mom, “My other mommy, Tina, forced me to look in the mirror and say, ‘You look at that chocolate skin – so pretty,” Kelly told the crowd. “She taught me how glorious our skin is, ladies. Don’t dim your light for nobody.”
