Fresh off the media parade and anger surrounding Chi-Raq, Lee tackles another sensitive black topic, Michael Jackson.
The documentary is set to premiere at the Sundance Film Festival next month.
The project, titled ‘Michael Jackson’s journey from Motown to ‘Off the Wall’ chronicles Michael’s transition from child star to Pop King, Indie Wire reports.
The documentary includes rare archival footage and interviews from people in direct contact with his life and legacy.
I feel like I can hear all of Black America collectively holding their breath, hoping that Lee handles the Jackson story with integrity and accuracy.
There still is no trailer or media available yet.
Do you beauties trust Spike Lee to do a Michael Jackson film justice?
