Some people start running things early. While high school can be an impressionable time for young people, a time to have fun, and not get too swept away by the obligations of life; it can also be a time to set yourself apart and begin to carve a bright future ahead. We don’t know if this was Arianna Alexander’s plan, but the Chicago high schooler has been recognized for getting into 26 universities and being awarded $3 million in scholarships. If that is not slayage, I don’t know what is.

Alexander was encouraged to go for her goals by her father, who told her that she could get more than the record $1 million, and then kept challenging her with $2 million and then $3 million. And meet the challenge, she did! Alexander earned a 5.1 out of a 4.0 GPA, her extra credit accounted for in that figure. So the acceptances kept rolling in, putting her in an enviable position. For Alexander and her father, the most welcomed aspect of all this is that they don’t have to worry about how to pay for college. And after much thought, Alexander has decided to go to the University of Pennsylvania where she hopes to pursue her interests in business and entrepreneurship, and eventually open up her own restaurants.
Girl, you are making us re-check our lives and goals. Congratulations to you Ms. Alexander!
