Erica Garner took to Twitter in frustration and shared personal information about an NYPD officer who was present when her father, Eric Garner was choked to death by officer Daniel Pantaleo in Staten Island. According to the New York Post, Garner tweeted that officer Justin D’Amico was “another officer that helped killed [sic] my dad,” and directed her 5,000-plus Twitter followers to a Web page that lists addresses for D’Amico and five possible relatives. The tweet was viewed about 500 times before it was deleted.

Garner sent the shocking tweet around 1:45 a.m. and in it, was a link to a page on the pastebin.com, which lets users anonymously post plain-text documents for public viewing. Her tweet called D’Amico’s information “just something light” and she used the hashtag #Doxx (which apparently refers to the online practice of revealing private details about people’s lives).

This harsh and impulsive act comes not only during the holidays, when the Garner family is obviously still in mourning over their loss, but only five days after NYPD officers Rafael Ramos and Wenjian Liu were murdered execution-style at the hands of crazed gunman Ismaaiyl Brinsley. Tensions are already high enough between law enforcement and people of color. There have already been numerous threats from copy-cat attackers this week against the NYPD, which had led to a half-dozen arrests.

“She clearly wants someone to go to the officer’s house and assassinate him in cold blood just like Ramos and Liu,” an NYPD source said of Erica’s reckless tweet. But, in all honesty, can you blame this young woman who has had to watch her father’s death in the news over and and over again? Erica’s desperate act to seek some type of justice in her own way is certainly wrong, but not without a proper reason.

Garner’s other daughter, Emerald actually visited the site where the officers were gunned down, to offer her condolences–a rather major move, considering her father was just killed by an NYPD officer. But it seems Erica doesn’t share her sister’s sentiments.

Garner family lawyer Jonathan Moore, who is preparing a $75 million suit against the city, didn’t deny that Erica Garner posted the tweet, but maintained that she “did not have any knowledge of what was in those links.” He continued, “Nobody in the Garner family, including Erica, would consciously send information out about the personal address or phone number or any identifying information about the police officers, particularly after what happened to those two officers.”

What do you think beauties? Was Erica Garner warranted in her angry tweet? Sound off in the comments below.
