#TheyDidThat. ESSENCE Magazine pulled out all the fashion stop signs for their new revamped May issue with three stunning covers. Solange, Erykah Badu and Ledisi all get super glammed for the occasion.

As the natural hair movement continues to take over our lives, it’s only fitting that this Spring issue celebrates Black Hair Now. Solange sports, what is becoming, her signature perfectly picked afro, while Erykah Badu keeps it all the way funky with wild and free tresses.
“We all have the option of how we want to express ourselves through our life, hair, style or whatever we decide. We shouldn’t be pigeonholed into any one category,” Solange says.
The May beauty issue, which is available now, talks about loving your natural beauty and what beauty products made their “best of” list.
