Lupita Nyong'o Oscar 2014

Last night, we all beamed with pride as ’12 Years A Slave’ actress, Lupita Nyong’o accepted the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress…in her first film! For the historic occasion, the Kenyan beauty wore a powder blue double v-neck custom Prada gown and accessorized the look with a pretty headband and sick stud earrings. She was a vision on her big night.

Lupita’s Oscar dress adds to the staggering list of drop-dead gorgeous red carpet ensembles styled by Micaela Erlanger. I love the Prada gown’s shade of blue against her skin. It’s pretty and quite serene. With Spring on it’s way (finally!) I’ve curated some fun looks using this beautiful hue. Time to get inspired!

Look #3: T by Alexander Wang dress (Sale Alert!), Giuseppe Zanoti sandals

For a casual weekend try a T by Alexander Wang dress (Sale Alert!), Giuseppe Zanoti sandals, Rebecca Minkoff bag and Nasty Gal mirror shades. Pucker up with Topshop’s lip bullet and for your mani: Deborah Lippmann’s Blue Orchid’s tops it off nicely.
