Aretha Franklin Wants To Cover Beyonce’s ‘Bootylicious’ & The Beyhive Isn’t Having It
Aretha Franklin is the Queen of Soul but apparently the Beyhive gives zero f**ks!
Beyonce’s loyal — and cutthroat! — fan base recently went in on Twitter after the “Respect” singer announced plans to remake “Bootylicious” on an upcoming cover album.

“It’s a concept CD,” Franklin told Billboard. “They’re records that, musically, I respected and that I liked a lot and that I would love to have one go-’round with. I aspire for musical excellence. I have very high standards where music is concerned, and I’m looking for something I haven’t done, something that you haven’t heard and something just absolutely smashing.”

Along with prospective songs like Barbra Streisand’s “People” and Donna Summer’s “Last Dance,” the 71-year-old songstress added, “I’m even thinking of ‘Bootylicious,’” a track penned by Beyonce and performed by Destiny’s Child.
