This show may be about the housewives of Atlanta but it was the husbands with the issues this week.
Porsha finally received her belongings from her estranged husband, Kandi is trying to get everyone to like her future one, and Cynthia’s man is only worried about when he’s going to finally get some and Apollo complains about Phaedra once again. Life may be fabulous for the ladies elsewhere but it seems like home is where the drama is.

After being banned from returning to the home her and her husband Kordell shared, Porsha’s boxes showed up at her mother’s house and there were a few surprises. Clearly Kordell wanted to erase her presence from their home as his packaging was indicative about his feelings toward his soon to be ex. Portions of her wedding dress were in the bottom of a box, wedding albums were thrown askew, and then there was the case of the missing sex toys. Kordell may adamantly deny his sexuality but his actions are screaming woman at every turn.
Kandi may be around to hug Porsha through her divorce but her own family doesn’t seem to be very excited about the possibility of her impending marriage. Taking some time to discuss her engagement to Todd with her employee, Don Juan and her daughter, Riley; Kandi finds out two important things. One, many of the people in her life are all worried about how Todd will affect their piece of the pie. Why is it that all these people in Ms. Burruss’ life are afraid with love that their cash cow will be no more? Seems to me like Kandi may need to check her loved ones hearts because they seem to be guilty of the same thing they accuse of Todd of; counting her money. And two, Riley is wise beyond her years. Giving her mother some valuable advice about how to handle her grandmother’s disdain for her future stepfather had Kandi thinking maybe she should just do what she wants to regardless of how Miss Joyce may feel.
One man always caught up in his feelings is Apollo and this week it proved to be just as true. As his family prepared for a family photo, decked out in all white because according to his wife, “Black people in white just look like little Black angels,” Apollo is disturbed by supposedly not being forewarned about the shoot. With an attitude he begrudgingly poses for the picture fit with a scowl and a smart retort for his wife. Seems to me like he needs to be a bit more involved in helping with his boys because for some reason he just consistently looks like he’s not doing anything but being pretty. Come on Apollo, quit whining and step up.
UP NEXT: Peter has a plan…
Peter finally stepped up and acted like a husband this episode as we watch him take care of Cynthia while she undergoes her surgery. He seems doting and nervous about his wife going under the knife, yet we find out later when Cynthia thanks him for his support that really he had an ulterior motive. Peter is only worried about one thing and that’s getting it on with his wife. Not less than an hour after her evasive surgery was this old fart is asking when she would be well enough to assume her wifely duties once more. Uhh Peter, sir, please relax. I have a feeling that a suave man like you has had his fill of romps and can let your wife get well in peace at least for a few more weeks.
UP NEXT: Kenya gets a police escort…
Finally after being taken to court by her landlord and winning her case, Kenya is moving out of her home. Packing up her items with her assistant and cousin in tow, she’s headed to a hotel until she can figure out something more permanent. In the midst of their moving party they discover a wayward box belonging to Conya, the hostile landlord, with her wedding dress inside. In true Kenya crazy fashion she tries the dress and proceeds to dance around the house. Now if you’ve already been taken to court by this woman why would add fuel to the fire? That’s the problem with Ms. Moore she can never just leave well enough alone. Sure enough because her life is always a roller coaster of mess, the scorned landlord shows up at the house just to ensure she’s leaving the property, with an entourage and the cops. Shockingly I agree with Kenya’s response to her, this lady seems to be desperate for attention at her expense. Her plot didn’t work though because Kenya and crew rode off into the sunset away from her house with laughter.
Tune in next week to see what happens with husbands of Atlanta and their housewives; it’s going to get real!
