TMZ is exclusively reporting that Reebok has listened to the masses and cut their ties with Rick Ross. The “I’ma Boss” rapper’s lyrics detail his plan to take advantage of an unsuspecting woman.

“Put Molly [Ecstasy] all in the champagne. She ain’t even know it. I took her home and I enjoy that. She ain’t even know it.”

Every time I read these ridiculous lyrics, I cringe at the last 5 words. When a woman doesn’t know that you took her home and enjoyed her, that’s rape.

Even when Ross apologized, he didn’t take responsibility for his actions. That’s been my gripe with this entire situation. While I understand Ross isn’t the first rapper to rap about rape, I see that he’s the first to do so, then deny it by not full understanding what constitutes as rape.

Ross inked a deal with Reebok and everyone and their mommas protested that Reebok drop that rape-lovin’ rapper. Reebok has finally released a statement and they told TMZ:

“Reebok holds our partners to a high standard, and we expect them to live up to the values of our brand. Unfortunately, Rick Ross has failed to do so. While we do not believe that Rick Ross condones sexual assault, we are very disappointed he has yet to display an understanding of the seriousness of this issue or an appropriate level of remorse.”

Reebok isn’t the only one letting Ross go. Apparently, those taboo lyrics have been omitted from Rocko’s song, sort of. Rocko claims to have six different versions of this track and told Hot 97:

“It’s a catch-22. I don’t want to take him off, but one thing that’s set in stone is he’s always going to be on that song . . . It doesn’t matter who I put on the song, that’s going to always be the original version. It’s not like I can do another version and call it the original.”
