Tyler Perry Lands Partnership With Oprah’s OWN Network
I wish Tyler Perry and Oprah Winfrey would run away together already and just be the happy mogul couple, I think they want to be!
Earlier today, it was announced, that Tyler landed an exclusive deal with O’s network OWN, for it to be the “singular destination” of Tyler Perry content, including: “upcoming television series or projects from Perry, starting with two new scripted series,” reports UptownMagazine.
“We are all energized by the opportunity to collaborate with Tyler who has a proven track record for producing highly successful cable series. He as an incredible ability to illuminate life stories and characters in his unique voice and inspires and encourages people all over the world,” said Oprah. OWN has seen an uptick in ratings ever since Oprah’s highly publicized interview with Rihanna.
Tyler Perry added: “It’s a dream realized to partner with Oprah and bring scripted programming to OWN. She has accomplished so much with the network and I’m excited to work with her to be a part of its continued growth.”
