Gabrielle Union Is In No Rush To Marry Dwyane Wade
“Think Like A Man” star Gabrielle Union recently opened up about how her marriage and subsequent divorce from footballer ex-hubby, Chris Howard taught her everything she needed to know about how to keep love strong. Her current boo, Dwyane Wade is reaping the benefits of this knowledge.
Union told Access Hollywood Live, “What you learn from divorce is you have to be incredibly honest, about what you want, what you need and what your expectations are,” Union revealed. “As women, we’re sort of taught to go along, to get along, not cause any ruffles…but yeah, that got me divorced.”
Union joked about the seriousness of her relationship with her Miami Heat boyfriend, saying, “It’s seriously…awesome. We’re taking our time!”The stunning actress says that she and Wade rushed to their first marriages and their relationship won’t suffer the same fate. “Now we’re like, let’s take our time,” Union explained. “If the goal is forever, what are we rushing for?”Good point. I guess you have the luxury of slowing things down when you snatch your man from the grips of his then-current marriage.
