Michelle Obama Gives J. Crew Serious Business
I’ve said it before, I said it again, and I’ll say it one more time: if you’re a designer and you really need your business to boom, all you have to do is find a way to get one of the Obamas to wear it. It’s really just that easy (or that hard, depending on how talented you are).
And a perfect example is when the First Lady rocked this J. Crew cardigan and skirt combo. Says NewsOne,
As photos surfaced of the First Lady once again wearing an outfit from the preppy line in London this week, a shopping frenzy ensued stateside.
The cream-colored “crystal constellation” cardigan ($298) she wore during a visit to Maggie’s Cancer Caring Centre Wednesday sold out on J.Crew’s Web site by 10 a.m. that morning (her “dazzling dots” skirt, $158, is virtually gone as well).
Get the picture? Now all you have to do is make something fly enough for the Obamas’ impeccable style.
