Are You The Dummy In This Relationship?
This may sound harsh but reality is no one wants to be with someone they consider to be dumb. We all want someone who is smart, intelligent, [add another overused adjective here]. But let’s be real, how much smarter than you do you want them to be? What happens when you get everything you want but it leaves you being the dumb one in the relationship?
As a woman, I’ve encountered my fair share of men who think they are smarter than Bill Gates. I quickly shut them down when they offer me useless insight or stuff that’s plain wrong. When I was younger I used to fight back, exchanging verbal jabs and standing my ground. Then a good girlfriend told me, “SG, challenging them only feeds their ego and makes it worse. As long as you know in your mind you are smart, what they say doesn’t matter.”
My biggest test was when I dated a dude, who gave me step-by-step instructions on how to make him a cup of tea. He was sick in bed, but felt the need to tell me exactly how hot he wanted his water, how much honey to put in, how long to let the tea bag sit and how many times to stir it. This article was quite interesting. I agree with some of the points. However, in my case it has usually been the other way around. Most of the guys that I have dated have had a problem with me because I am educated. I don’t go out of my way to make them feel uncomfortable but they feel that way regardless. I have actually had to end a relationship because the man, had an issue because he felt that I was to smart for him and on other level. Being able to carry an intelligent conversation is very important to me, hence, why I don’t want a “dummy”. I personally think that it goes both ways. I want to be able to converse with the person that I am with. I want them to be knowledgeable and not afraid if we reach a topic that they lack information about to be ashamed about that. I think that men need to realize that we, women are not out to make them feel like less of a man, but to build them up. So instead of the negative thoughts and actions, that that come from them, we should all be open minded and willing to learn something new. The way I see it one person doesn’t know everything there is to know.

It’s a two way thing because the woman is just like the man. They both been hurt in a situation to where they want put the trust into a person fully. So as long as they got my father Allah in there life then life for each mankind and creation will be alright. So just keep praying and everything will work out for each person. First in for most love yourself first and but my father Allah first and you will have know worries any more.

There is a difference between men who think they are smart and men who ‘actually’ are smart. I don’t bother with the ones who have nothing to bring to the table. It’s just that simple. If you’re a guy who can’t hold a ‘real’ conversation to me you’re not worth the time to invest in. Only serious applicants may apply. I agree with a below statement, good men aren’t very hard to find. You have to look with your eyes open for a change and be willing to be patient with a work in progress because no one has everything you are looking for.

Just want to point out that a man doesn’t have to be thuggish to be a dog. I’ve dated some that were not so nice and they were very intelligent and well dressed. I’ve met some men with the appearance of a thug who turned out to be really cool and down to earth and church going fellas. Just never judge a book by it’s cover. Examine the heart.

It is so true as far as alot of women blaming men for what they do to them…when alot of times we see from the begining that the man is no good…the real problem is by nature women think they can change a man….and we will go to our deaths trying to prove to our own selves &others that we can change them…the truth is we as women need to start setting standards and realize that we are worth having good good a healthy relationship…love yourself, learn to be by yourself, keep faith in god and take one day at at time….trust me god is working on bringing you the person you deserve in your life…so instaed of waiting on a “MAN”…use that same faith and energy to wait on god “He will never disappoint you”

Good women are hard to find. When they find a great man, they run him away because the loving her showers them with seems too nice or soft, but they rather allow these useless indecent thuggish-types of males to walk all over them and live off them, impregnate them and leave them a one parent solution, then when the relationship fails, ALL MEN ARE LABELLED AS DOGS OR NO GOOD.
