    I think that the first night should be spent getting to know the person. Discuss your interests,goals,children briefly if you have them, basically things that will allow the perswon to get a glimpse into your life and personality. Make sure conversation is well rounded and that you allow the person to talk about themselves also. DONT spend evening ranting about what the last man/woman did to piss you off.
