Tuesday night, the father of five was gunned down after being confronted by a Louisiana police officer for allegedly selling CDs in front of a local mini-mart. Sterling, 37, was shot multiple times in the chest and back, dying almost immediately.
His heartbreaking death was not only caught on camera, but has gone viral since being posted on Twitter. Many celebs have shared their thoughts, condolences, and outright disgust on what many are calling an “execution.”
Beyoncé is the latest celeb to offer her reaction to the senseless shooting.
On her site Beyonce.com, she writes:
TODAY I DROPPED A TEAR SEEING THIS CHILD CRY ABOUT HIS FATHER! THEN 20 MINUTES LATER GOT A CALL FROM @chino_mmg SAYING HIS BROTHER WAS MURDERED IN IN FRONT OF HIS MOTHER! I DONT FEEL GOOD TODAY! IMA SAY IT AGAIN "I TAKE THIS SHIT EXTREMELY PERSONAL" BECAUSE I KNOW THIS COULD B ME OR MY FAMILY! AND ITS SOOOO FUNNY TO WATCH THESE "FAKE GANGSTA TOUGH GUYS" SAY HOW QUICK THEY WOULD RIDE OR KILL ONE OF THEIR OWN PEOPLE…. BUT THE COPS COME THEY RUNNING! NOBODY WANNA DIE FOR SOMETHING THEY RATHER DIE FOR NOTHING
