US-VOTE-TRUMP

Bruh, I’m dying of laughter now that Donald Trump has virtually kicked himself in the ass by making stupid, racist comments about Mexican immigrants during his recent announcement on his bid for president in the 2016 elections.

NBC wasn’t having it and is now pulling the plug on Trump’s TV programming. According to Hollywood Life, the network released the following statement:

At NBC, respect and dignity for all people are cornerstones of our values. Due to the recent derogatory statements by Donald Trump regarding immigrants, NBCUniversal is ending its business relationship with Mr. Trump. To that end, the annual Miss USA and Miss Universe Pageants, which are part of a joint venture between NBC and Trump, will no longer air on NBC. In addition, as Mr. Trump has already indicated, he will not be participating in The Celebrity Apprentice on NBC. Celebrity Apprentice is licensed from Mark Burnett’s United Artists Media Group and that relationship will continue.

This means that the “Miss USA Pageant,” the “Miss Universe Pageant” and the “Celebrity Apprentice” are now out of a network home. So the Miss USA Pageant, originally set to air on July 12, will not make it to the small screen. NBC’s announcement comes just after Univision (a property of NBCU) announced that they were also cutting ties with Trump by removing itself from the Miss Universe Programming. A Univision spokesperson had this to say about Trump’s comments:

“At Univision, we see first-hand the work ethic, love for family, strong religious values and the important role Mexican immigrants and Mexican-Americans have had and will continue to have in building the future of our country…We will not be airing the Miss USA pageant on July 12th or working on any other projects tied to the Trump Organization.”

Trump’s statement from his speech that has sparked controversy is as follows:

“When Mexico sends its people, they’re not sending their best. They’re not sending you. They’re sending people that have lots of problems, and they’re bringing those problems with them. They’re bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists. And some, I assume, are good people. It’s coming from more than Mexico. It’s coming from all over South and Latin America, and it’s coming, probably — probably — from the Middle East.”

Trump’s lawyer originally tried to go after Univision with a lawsuit for wrongfully terminating their contract but Trump is standing on his own, defiantly speaking out and defending his words. Today, Trump held a press conference insisting that his statements were correct and that NBC was just sabotaging him because they didn’t want him to run for president, as it would prevent him from hosting The Apprentice.

#Dying. This guy is delusional. Of course, there are tweets to match:

NBC’s announcement came after over 200,000 signed a Change.org petition for them to cut ties with Trump’s programming. Power to the people. Watch Trump’s announcement for yourself below:
