Three Black women. One night. Are you ready?
Not only is “Scandal” back on ABC this fall for season 4 with Kerry Washington (minus her baby bump — and those awkward shots hiding it) and our favorite “Gladiators” (minus Columbus Short), the fan favorite show is airing on teh same night as “Grey’s Anatomy” season 11 and the debut of “How to Get Away With Murder” starring Viola Davis.
The woman behind this highly anticipated lineup? None other than Shonda Rhimes! The network is calling it “Shondaland Thursday” and we’re like hells yeah! Washington, “Greys” star Ellen Pompeo, Davis and Rhimes sat down with TV-creating mastermind to discuss the historic night. How does Shonda feel about the takeover our whole entire lives once a week? “It’s exciting,” she said during the candid sit-down with the gals. “It is very daring. If you like great drama, that’s where you come,” she added. “It’s going to be an edge-of-your-seat three-hour block of time on Thursday nights.” Kerry’s advice? “Buckle up!”
Peep the interview in the video above, but spoiler alert: Rhimes doesn’t give any detailed plot line spoilers. Boo!
ABC’s #TGIT (Thank God It’s Thursday) kicks off Sept. 25 at 8pm with “Grey’s Anatomy,” are you tuning in?
