Oprah Winfrey shared her thoughts on the Donald Sterling scandal today, and let’s just say she’s just as passionate about it as everyone else.

TMZ caught up with the media mogul as she was leaving CBS Studios in NYC and she compared the Sterling’s racist views to the days of slavery. “The plantation days are over,” she said.

When asked what the Clippers organization should do next, Mama O said, “I don’t have any advice but all I have to say is we’re off the plantation!”

As we reported earlier, TMZ obtained an audio clip of the Los Angeles Clippers’ owner forbidding his biracial girlfriend from publicly associating with Black people. His racist remarks, which went on for nearly 10 minutes, started after she posted an Instagram photo of herself with Magic Johnson. In response, NBA Commissioner Adam Silver issued the 80-year-old a lifetime ban from the league.

“We stand together in condemning Mr. Sterling’s views,” Silver said. “They simply have no place in the NBA.” He added that he will try to force the controversial owner to sell his franchise.

So who should be the next owner? “I won’t be buying the Clippers but I hear Magic Johnson might be,” Oprah revealed. “That would be really cool.”
