V Mag Takes A Stab At Ghetto Fab Fashion
V Magazine‘s March 2010 issue features a very interesting hip-hop themed fashion spread.
Supermodels like Liya Kebede join fierce forces to recreate the aura of the throwback “ghetto fab” fashion sensibility from classic hip-hop figures like MC Lyte, Lil’ Kim, and Salt-N-Pepa. V is definitely giving us an interesting interpretation of what they call “hip hop goddesses of yore,” complete with gelled-down sideburns and bamboo earrings.
The spread was photographed by Josh Olins and is set to hit newsstands everywhere March 2, 2010.
