Conde Nast Sues Turks & Caicos Over LisaRaye’s Ads
Condé Nast Publications is suing the island of Turks and Caicos and its tourist board for failing to pay over $1 million for advertising appearing in 2007 and 2008 issues of several publications.
The ads featured Misick’s then wife, LisaRaye McCoy.
The ads stirred controversy because the people of TCI did not want LisaRaye appearing in the ads because she is not from Turks and Caicos. They felt a native of the islands would be better.

The ads were also part of Misick’s corruption investigation because he paid LisaRaye $300,000 a month to appear in the ads and be the art director.
