Hello Beautiful people. What a crazy week this has been. I cannot even explain how hectic it is leading up to a major event like the Grammys. I took a 6AM flight Wednesday morning out to LA to work with Jazmine Sullivan (nominated for 5 Grammys), Maiysha Simpson (nominated for 1), MADU an international teen pop star who is trying to make her American Cross Over and new Latina artist Nicole Flores. So as you can see I was VERY busy to say the least!!!!!

With so many events, music videos and call times I felt a moment of confusion, but with a lot of breathing and my fabulous Botanicals Stress Relieve aromatherapy oil I was able to pull up my boot straps and do the job.

Jazmine Sullivan was wearing a gown by Andre GN and it was sapphire blue. I decided to play off its classic Hollywood retro feel and give her soft makeup. Before doing red carpet makeup or any makeup clean fresh skin is a must so I prepped skin with Simple Wipes, Shu Uemura Depsea Mist in Mint to perk skin up and I used Elizabeth Arden’s Gold uplifting Ceramide rejuvenating serum capsules for face and throat so skin glowed. We used Cover Girl Queen Collection Oil Free Liquid foundation in Toffee, concealer I used was Dermablend in Caramel, and I set her face with Cover Girl Queen Collection Natural Hue mineral powder in Bronze brown 1. I used Black liquid liner by Makeup Forever and lashes by Shu Uemura to give eyes that retro affect. Hip Peach blush from Dior and Guerlain Africa Baked bronzer to sculpt and shape face.

Cover Girl Lash Blast Luxe in black and I always use 2 – 3 coats to really give eyes drama. I accented the outer corner of her eyes with a bright yellow gold pigment from MAC. Her lips were a gorgeous peach pink gloss by Dior Pink Clutch. She looked stunning and the finishing touch was Soft and Beautiful Body Oil which has Almond and Olive Oils to really give skin that healthy sexy glow.

Maiysha Simpson looked electrick with plum and hot pink eyes, lots of liner and bronzed skin. Her lips I left neutral so all the focus was on her amazing hazel eyes.

All in all the Grammys were a major success for all those nominated and all those who won. So big congrats to Jazmine my sweet talented client and Maiysha Simpson my wonderful creative friend.

See you next week!
