With co-author (and mom) Rhonda Frost, Hall uses her signature straight talk to prove that today’s “player” mentality was fashioned, nurtured and created by the very women who chastise it. A mother-daughter look at relationships, Why Do I Have to Think Like a Man? gives readers what Harvey could not – an uncensored, woman’s view on dating.
“It’s not the man that makes the difference, it’s how you deal with the man that makes the difference between heartbreak and a mutually beneficial situation,” says Hall, who was married to Cory Hall of the Cincinnati Bengals and Atlanta Falcons.
Why Do I Have to Think Like a Man? is based on more than 300 interviews with men and women over 25, and the authors’ own dating drama. The book reveals hold-nothing-back truths about deal breakers, commitment, baggage, intimacy, what men really want, and getting what you want in return. And to say the authors have “been there, done that” in love, sex and marriage is an understatement. They draw on their life experiences with marriage, divorce, domestic violence, single motherhood, being cheated on – and being “the other woman.”

SHANAE HALL is a former NFL wife, domestic violence survivor, and successful businesswoman. She is a popular TV and radio personality, frequenting programs like Jamie Foxx’s Sirius radio show “The Foxxhole,” “Black Men Revealed” (TV One) and E! “True Hollywood Stories – Sports Stars, Private Lives.” In 2005, she co-founded New Beginnings TRAP, a non-profit organization that empowers battered women to rebuild their lives.
