She had some complications—I mean, the baby was perfect, but she had some issues afterwards—and these medical issues delayed the moment that she could come back to practice.”

Kerry Washington told People after the birth of her son in 2017, she didn’t rush back to the gym. “My doctor made me take my six weeks off, and I did,” she told the publication. “It was really important to me to have that downtime and then start working out slowly, which I’m still doing, I am still slowly getting back into it.”
