Holidays Are Hard For The Eating-Disordered
It’s a long-standing myth that women of color don’t suffer from eating disorders. However, anorexia and bulimia doesn’t have a race qualification… and it’s an especially tough issue during the holiday season.
CNN recently did a feature discussing the pitfalls of being a recovered eating disorder victim and having to stand the over-saturation of giant dinners, dessert overload, and food gifts during the holidays. When you’ve struggled for years to keep from exercising unhealthy eating behavior, it’s hard to do when there’s so much delicious – yet unhealthy – food around!
