The music festival that marks the unofficial start of summer hits the greater NYC area this Sunday. Summer Jam 2017 kicks off at MetLife stadium in Rutherford, New Jersey on June 11th, bringing a hot line-up of R&B and rap artists and guests. If you haven’t added this event to your weekend to-do list yet, here are a couple of reasons why you should:
- THE MUSIC: Fat Joe & Remy Ma, Chris Brown, Trey Songz, Desiigner and French Montana are just a few of many hip-hop acts that will rock the stage during the day. There will also be legendary DJs spinning the hits on the 1s and 2s. The artists will cover two stages–Festival Stage and Stadium Stage, so you can bounce around throughout the event and turn up.
- FAITH X BIG: The first lady of Bad Boy, Faith Evans will hit the stage to present a special tribute to Christopher Wallace, to commemorate 20 years of B.I.G. This performance is sure to set your nostalgia vibes on fire as you rock to new and old tunes from Faith.
- WEATHER: New York City has been plagued with June gloom for the past couple of days, but the forecast for Sunday is hot, hot, hot. And every New Yorker knows that once that summer feeling hits the city, the last place you want to be is stuck inside.
- FASHION: The biggest hip-hop festival of the summer brings in trendy audiences from far and wide. Get ready to rock your newest gear and get some style inspo from some of the most fashionable hip- hop heads in the city.
