‘…Try Not To Stare!’ Gabourey Sidibe Releases New Memoir

Oscar-nominated actress Gabourey Sidibe, affectionately known as Gabby, is now adding the “author” title to her dynamic platform with the release of her memoir, called; “This is Just My Face: Try Not to Stare.” At age 33, Gabby has managed to tear down Hollywood barriers with her powerful roles in the award-winning movie Precious and most recently playing the beloved character “Becky” on the popular show Empire.

Gabby continues to make waves and get rid of old stereotypes, even as a new author, she carries a renewed sense of confidence in herself despite the unpleasant things people have done and said to her. She recently told People Magazine:

“I’m writing a book about me; it’s what I was like before I was an actress, what my life is like now that I am now, and if it even matters….I write about hair, I write about clothing, I write about marriage and divorce and relationships … I write about a lot of things I’ve experienced…”

Not only has Gabby penned her new book, she’s also lost over 50 pounds in her quest to be even more proud of herself as a superb career-woman and as a person! This book looks like it will definitely be inspiring to read.
