Mega stars  Rihanna and Beyonce were the leading ladies of the Grammy nominations with Queen Bey scoring 9 and RiRi landing 8.

But a simple ‘like’ on an IG post caused unnecessary drama over the mutual accomplishment.

A RiRi fan page posted a picture of the Bajan beauty, captioned “Congrats and all to @badgirlriri and for her 8 Grammy nods but tbh f*ck them because they snubbed her for Song Of The Year and Album Of The Year . I think they didn’t want her tied or passing someone else **cough cough**” (Insert lemon emoji).

Rihanna went on to like the post, causing a firestorm of backlash that she shaded Queen Bey.

Hold up.

Rihanna clarified her position saying she didn’t even read the caption. “I’m petty af yes, but this is just unnecessary! We don’t need to be putting Black women against each other.”
