A Delaware man pleaded guilty to federal fraud charges for administering illegal and deadly butt injections.
According to The Washington Post, for seven years Vinnie Taylor would inject a dangerous mixture of food-grade silicone in his clients. Even worse, he would use super glue and cotton balls to keep the silicon from leaking out. Not having a medical license didn’t stop women from coming to Taylor, who over the years administered more than 3,000 injections to women who were “seeking fuller figures.”
And it was profitable. According to court documents, Taylor made $1.59 million over the years charging women “$800 to $1,000 for an initial visit and $350 to $800 for repeat business.”
But his lucrative business was taken away when one of Taylor’s clients died in 2014. Soon after he administered injections to a female client in a Maryland hotel room, the woman began having problems breathing. She was taken to a local hospital and later died due to what the medical examiner said was “acute and chronic respiratory failure due to a foreign substance.”
Originally, Taylor claimed that the woman was sick before she came to her appointment and that he wasn’t responsible for her death. But he is now singing a different tune admitting that his “conduct resulted in the death of the victim in March 2014,” the Post noted.
As part of his plea agreement, he will serve 12 to 15 years in prison. In addition to those federal charges, Taylor is expected to plead guilty to manslaughter in the county where the woman died. That could tack on another 10 years in jail.
Ladies, if you want to enhance your bodies, that’s your right. But please don’t put your life at risk by trusting your health with someone like Taylor. It’s really not worth it the money you are saving.
