After 45 hours of deliberations over the course of four days, a jury found former Oklahoma police officer Daniel Holtzclaw guilty of 18 of the 36 charges offenses against 8 victims, including first-degree rape, and acquitted him on 18 offenses against five other women.

A few of his victims, represented by Attorney Benjamin Crump, spoke to the press on the steps of the Oklahoma County Courthouse about what the verdict means to them and what are the next steps going forward.

Several of the victims and their families say they are not satisfied with the verdict and are demanding more accountability, from the police department to the Governor’s office.
