In today’s shady boots news, Patti Labelle claims she was selling out pies before James Wright’s hilarious review went viral. Lies she tells.
TMZ caught up with aunt Patti and asked the legendary entertainer if she’ll be enlisting James for more of his services, to which she responded, ‘I did it myself.’
After thanking the cameraman for being out here, in her most sincere Patti way, she added, ‘I was selling out pies before the guy did his wonderful video.’
It wasn’t all shade, Patti did thank James. ‘He’s a wonderful singer and he’s just a wonderful guy,” she said.
Since James’ review went viral, Walmart sold one pie per second for 72 hours straight last weekend.
Patti better give James his credit.
