Being dad to two beautiful daughters is hard enough–now multiply that by a million if you are president.

Barack Obama spoke candidly about his daughters growing up in his exclusive interview with GQ.

The interviewer asked if anyone had come to pick Malia up for a date. He responded, ‘No, but I’ve seen some folks glancing at her in ways that made me not happy.’

Even the coolest POTUS ever can’t keep his cool when it comes to his children.

His temperament was a topic of discussion, as he explains how he’s kept his head in the game for almost a decade now.

‘I don’t get too high and I don’t get too low. I’m able to stay focused even when there’s a lot of stuff going on around me,’ he describes.

He goes deeper into his earlier days in office.

‘Even in the first six months, where we weren’t sure whether we were going to dip into another Great Depression, we weren’t sure whether the steps we were taking on rescuing the auto industry or stabilizing the financial system were going to work.’ he continued.

His level headedness has always been commendable in the tumultuous racial, political, and economic crises the entire world is in. Despite the praise Obama has received for how he has evenly handled tense situations, some still feel he could’ve done more for the Black community.

‘You know, the challenge of Ferguson and all issues related to police shootings, race, and the criminal-justice system is that in order to actually get something done, you have to build consensus. Expressing simple outrage without follow-up is often counterproductive. In the case of Ferguson, I’m the attorney general’s boss. If I chime in with a strong opinion about what’s happened, not only do I stand to potentially damage subsequent law-enforcement cases, but immediately you get blowback and backlash that may make people less open to listening,’ the former Senator from Chicago explained.

‘What was different in Charleston was the clarity of what happened–that allowed, I think, everybody to be open to it.’

The ‘openness’ he is referring to is the vulnerable moment where he sang ‘Amazing Grace’ at the funeral of slain Charleston pastor  Reverend Clementa Pinckney.

It’s the humanity of Obama that shines through in moments of crisis that will make us truly miss him when he leaves the White House.

One of his post presidency dreams is to own his own NBA team.

‘I have fantasized about being able to put together a team and how much fun that would be. I think it’d be terrific,’ he laments, as if he’s a normal guy–but that’s what we love about him.
