Former Cop That Killed Walter Scott Sues Police Organization For Legal Representation
Michael Slager is suing the Southern States Police Benevolent Association for refusing to defend him in the case of Walter Scott. Slager paid dues to the association which is supposed to represent officers who are involved in a shooting or another serious incident. However, once cell phone video revealed that he lied about shooting Scott five times in self defense, the organization withheld it’s benefits because Slager “committed an intentional, deliberate and/or illegal act.” However, he believes the organization rushed to judgement too quickly and is in breach of contract. 8-Year-Old Boy Charged With The Murder Of An Infant
Katerra Lewis, age 26 left her one year old daughter Kelci Lewis at home with five other children between the ages of two and eight while she went to a night club. Upon her return, she found that the eight year old boy had violently attacked the infant when she wouldn’t stop crying. Katerra is being charged with manslaughter and the eight year old (who’s name is being withheld) will be the youngest person in the city’s history to be charged with murder. [CNN]

Diabetic experts are hoping lawmakers will treat the dangers of sugar with the same urgency as the dangers of tobacco. The International Diabetes Federation (IDF) estimates that there is one death every six SECONDS from diabetes making it a bigger killer than HIV, tuberculosis and malaria combined. 3-Year-Old Who Shot Himself In The Head Makes Miraculous Recovery
In August, 3-year-old Darnal Mundy II climbed in a chair, opened his parents top drawer and shot himself in the center of his head. Doctors surgically removed the left side of Darnal’s skull to protect the part of the brain that was unaffected by the bullet. The infant went into a 3-week coma and had to learn how to walk, talk and eat without tubes. Three months later, he’s home for the holidays and his fourth birthday. [CNN]

No, he’s not joining the Lakers or The Golden State Warriors. However, LeBron will be spending the off season in sunny California. He just purchased a six bedroom, eight bathroom estate in suburb of Brentwood for $20,986,500. Now that he done with the Miami Heat, there was no need for his three-story waterfront property in Coconut Grove, FL. He sold that home for $13.4 million.
