Twelve years after its premiere, America’s Next Top Model is finally coming to an end.

Beginning in May 2003, pretty faces from around the country competed for their chance at a modeling and cosmetics contract as well as magazine spreads.

Top Model became an international franchise with nearly 50 spin-offs series from Vietnam, Sweden, Africa, India, Australia and many more.

The series finale will air December 4th on the CW.

Show host and executive producer Tyra Banks broke the news via Twitter, “Thinking #ANTM22 should be our last cycle I truly believe it’s time. May your pics be forever fierce. Keep on Smizing!”

The 41-year old supermodel is still very busy hosting her second daytime talk show, “The Fab Life”.

ANTM had definitely run it’s course. Out of 21 seasons (cycle 22 is currently airing) Eva Marcille and runner up Yaya DaCosta from season 3 have gone on to be the most commercially successful contestants of the series. For an in depth look at what happened to all 21 seasons of winners, click here.

Sigh, now aspiring models will have to hone their skills on Instagram!
