Guess who is no longer doing “hoodrat stuff” with his friends? Latarian Milton went viral in 2008 when he took his grandmother’s SUV and wrecked it because he wanted to do “hoodrat stuff” with his friends. He was seven-years-old at the time. Milton stayed in the headlines because shortly after that, it was reported that he assaulted his grandmother at a store because she wouldn’t buy him chicken. Classic.

We’re so glad that this update about Milton focuses on something positive and he seems to have outgrown his urge to want to do hoodrat stuff. Now that he’s 14-year-old, he’s graduated from middle school! Now he’s got goals and dreams and our hearts are smiling.

“Doing wrong is bad, but doing good, I can be successful,” Milton told Complex. “It’s going to be a good when I get into high school because I’ll be able to play on the football team, have some good success there and go to college.”

Milton could have been a bad seed, headed for a terrible fate, but he’s turned his attitude around and is invested in his own future. We love hearing stories like this because instead of being a statistic, Milton is an inspiration.
