Emotions ran high on Keeping up With the Kardashians: Bruce Jenner Special, where we got a closer look at how the Kardashian and Jenner clans are dealing with Bruce’s revelation that he is a transgender and transitioning into a woman.
Khloe, Kylie and Kendall are taking the news especially hard. However, Kim Kardashian seems to be especially supportive, and in a clip from tonight’s episode, it looks like Kim and Bruce share a cute moment that could lighten the mood and eventually convince everyone to get to a place of 100% acceptance.
In the following clip, Kim helps Bruce pick out some clothes, but then Bruce admits that he has stolen clothes from her before. Check it out:
That provided some comic relief, but do you think Khloe, Kylie and Kendall will eventually get comfortable enough to follow Kim’s lead? Even Bruce himself admitted he never thought he would share a moment like that with Kim.
We got to see more Monday, when Bruce’s journey continued to play out on the second installment of Keeping Up With the Kardashians: About Bruce, which aired tonight at 9 p.m. ET on E!.
Included were scenes with an emotional Kris Jenner lamenting the loss of the man she had wanted “to grow old” with. The exchange was a raw one, with Kris Jenner in tears for most of it.
“You’re an amazing woman. We’ve had so many great moment together, 23 going on 25 years years of great moments together,” Bruce told her. “They still live inside me. They’re still part of me. I don’t want to let that go. But I’ve got a struggle in my life. … In so many ways, I’ve lived my entire life running away from me and who I am.”
Kris replied, “I just miss Bruce. And that’s going to take me a minute to mourn that relationship,” she said. “You think you’re going to grow old with somebody, and they drastically change over the course of just a few years.
Khloe and Scott, who were initially hurt over being told so late in the game about his transition, came around to accepting the change. Most of the family seemed just happy to see Bruce finally becoming his true self. They said they looked forward to a “happier” person after years of angst.
That has to be so tough for everyone involved.
